The Sherwood Centre
The Sherwood Centre is the Academy’s Learning Resource Centre. The Sherwood Centre is named in memory of Louis Sherwood, a founder governor of the school, and is a wonderful memorial which demonstrates Mr. Sherwood’s commitment to the young people of the Academy.
The Centre contains over 15,000 resources including fiction, non-fiction and reference books to encompass all reading levels and to encourage accelerated levels of reading, most of which can be borrowed by staff and students. In addition to this, the Centre provides computers that can be used for homework, coursework and research.
The Sherwood Centre also houses the Careers Interview Room, Work Experience Administrator and the ICT Team.
