KS4
From September 2012 we will be running a three year KS4 programme, where students get to follow their option choices from the start of year 9. This will allow many of our students to gain their GCSEs early and to stretch their learning by taking on additional subjects.
All students in KS4 will study maths, English, science and PE. PSHE and core RE will be delivered through tutor time. Each student will have a series of individual interviews to assess their suitability for the option choices, and we will ensure that each student follows a programme that will maximise their academic potential.
In year 9, students follow a 1 or 2 year programme, depending on their choices, which will include a choice from each of the four key areas

In year 10, the students will complete their second year of study, or alternatively, where they have been studying for a 1 year programme, they will choose additional options from the following areas: art, business, construction, drama, engineering, geography, food, health and social care, RE, Spanish, history, ICT, media, hair, sport, foundation learning, triple science.
Year 11 students will have the opportunity to enhance their grades achieved in year 10, and also to choose additional subjects which will extend their learning and give additional opportunities to acquire skills and qualifications.
